Smt. Kavita has embarked on a livelihood venture of making and selling jute bags and jute dolls since July 2023, after receiving training from RSETI. Smt. Kavita, along with 7 other women, took the initiative to start their own businesses at home.
Jute Bags: The women produce jute bags of various sizes (12x12 inches, 16x18 inches, etc.). The bags are sold at prices ranging from Rs. 150 to Rs. 350 per bag.
Jute Dolls: The dolls are sold at prices between Rs. 200 and Rs. 400 per unit, with an expenditure of Rs. 80 to Rs. 200 per doll.
They have promoted sale of Jute Bag and Doll in Saras Mela and different type of exhibitions. Smt. Kavita is working as a Jute Bag Trainer in RSETI, Yamunanagar. As a result of these efforts, she is able to earn Rs. 1.10 lakh per annum.
