DAY-NRLM is a flagship programme of Govt. of India launched through Ministry of Rural Development, aims “To reduce poverty by enabling the poor households to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots institutions of the poor.” In Haryana, DAY-NRLM is being implemented since 01-04-2013.
HSRLM has covered 143 blocks of 22 districts. At present, 5,87,737 Households are covered in 59,102 Self Help Groups (SHGs). These SHGs were covered under Community based organisations i.e. 4429 Village Organisation and 225 Cluster Level Federations.
To support these Self Help Groups women financial help in the shape of Revolving Fund (RF) @Rs. 10,000/- per Self Help Group and Community Investment Fund (CIF) @ Rs. 50,000/- per SHG has been given. Bank loans are also provided to these SHGs to run various Livelihood activities.
At present, a total Revolving fund of Rs. 65.24 Cr. has been given to 51891 Self Help Groups and Community Investment Fund of Rs. 393.93 Cr has been given to 32347 Self Help Groups.
